What is animation?
You have important ideas to share, problems to solve and changes to make. But lengthy reports aren’t being read, audiences don‘t understand your work and no one is paying attention!
Animation to the rescue! Animated videos - or stories told through moving pictures - help us simplify the complex through STORY. They can range from simple explainer style motion graphics (think sexy powerpoint!), right through to full character animation and a cinematic script!
Animation is for you if:

How we make them at Nifty
We have three styles of animation at Nifty Fox:
Simple explainers
Usually 60-90 seconds long, we use simple shapes, drawings and text to communicate complex concepts simply and quickly.
Storytelling animation
Our most popular animation style, they are usually 90 secs - 3 mins long. We use above the waist character animation and a story driven script to bring your ideas to life.
Full character animation
Between 3 - 5 mins, this is our most cinematic approach for hard-hitting human stories that need to resonate with audiences, with full character animation and sound design.
Nifty impact
There’s no topic too complex to be brought to life through animation. We’ve tackled topics from South Asian women’s body image and treatments for cancer caused by asbestos, to the science behind chronic pain and even the future of space research!
Our animations have had nearly half a million impressions, been watched almost 50,000 times, and even been the subject of journal articles!
We love our animation! The finished product will be shared widely and across various different target audiences. The video highlights a seminal piece of work for our project, so it was important to get the message out there beyond scientific publications. - Development of an up to 3 minute animation using one of our in-house styles. Also includes shorter clips for social media and conferences.
- Includes script writing, storyboarding and in-house voiceover artist.
- Captions and transcript as standard. Additional languages are also available for an add-on fee.
- Turnaround time 10-12 weeks.
- 2 revisions at each stage included.
